– Americas Best eye exams and glasses increased their price by $5.00. – The February Fundraiser Cruise has been cancelled due to lack of reservations. – Starting in January, Club members are urged to wear their name badge, since we have so many new members. The Tail Twister will be issuing fines. Please let the Secretary know if you do not have a nametag.

– America’s Best Price Update – we received a letter from Carmela Harris, Eyeglass Manager that the price is increasing from $89.95 to $95.00.
Lion James Harrison advised the Board that the scheduled February 2026 fundraiser cruise has been cancelled because there was lots of interest, but only one paid reservation. We will try again in 2027.
After discussion about remembering names and new members, Lion Danny Dossman motioned that the Club members should go back to wearing name badges again – with Tail Twister fines for non-compliance; 2nd by Lion Larry Berg; passed to start January 1st.

Regular Business – 15th Annual Central Texas Fall Festival for the Special Needs Community, – Jennifer Ramirez – Thank You – November 20th – Thanksgiving Basket Delivery – sign-up sheet passed and filled – Thank you (attached) – November 20th – BISD Project Heartbeat Angel Tags – BLC has adopted 20 tags (tags will be picked up on the 17th). – December 6th – McLane’s Children’s Hospital Holiday Party, 11am-2pm, Saturday, Hematology and Oncology patients – Sign-up sheet. Our Club will set up Carnival Games and Prizes. Event will be held at Temple High CTE building. – December 6th, Belton Christmas on the Chisholm Trail Parade, evening, Saturday – (same day as McLane’s) – Danny, Jennifer, George, Karen – maybe walk with banner; and have our mascot LINUS in the parade. – December 11th is Christmas Basket delivery after lunch – December 11th – Project Heartbeat Gifts due back – deliver to Christina (BISD) – December 18th is Club Christmas Party – then, set-up after lunch for Christmas with Santa at the Harris Center. Regular Business – October 17th, UMHB Golf Center – Jane & Mac Hickerson Crusader Golf Club Building Dedication – update – Beautiful facility – honored to attend. – October 18th, District Cabinet Meeting, hosted by Harker Heights Lions – update Lion Fontenot – great fellowship with other clubs; we served a project by sorting eyeglasses to send to the eye center. – The Club is participating in the Lions InternationalPeace Poster Contest. Lion PP Keith Cook presented the Club with 12 posters (from a total of 40 submitted) –club members voted for the three (3) finalists and one (1) overall winner to send to District; winner from District will move to compete in State; winner from State will go on to Nationals.
