Lions have a Dynamic History. Our motto is, “We Serve.”  Founded in 1917, we have 1.35 million members in more than 45,000 clubs in 206 countries and geographic areas worldwide.  Belton Lions Club is a dynamic group of individuals committed to making Belton a better place to work and live.  The club meets at noon each Thursday at The Gin on Nolan Creek.

Lions Give SightBy conducting vision screenings, equipping hospitals and clinics, distributing medicine and raising awareness of eye disease, Lions work toward their mission of providing vision for all. Belton Lions Club participates in the Lions International Eyeglass Recycling Program, which provides eyeglasses for many needy individuals in developing nations. On a local level, Belton Lions Club works with Belton Independent School District health care professionals to provide free eye exams for needy local youth.

Lions Serve YouthOur community projects support local children and schools through scholarships for Belton High graduates.   The Belton Lions club supports Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville, Texas.  The primary purpose of the camp is to provide, without charge, a camp for physically disabled, hearing/vision impaired and diabetic children.  For more information on Texas Lions Camp, visit www.lionscamp.com

Lions Serve the Community.  From building and helping maintain Lions Pavilion in Heritage Park to helping assemble equipment at Chisholm Trail Park, Belton Lions are committed to enhancing the quality of life for area residents.  The Belton Lions Club  installed a special needs playground at Heritage Park in Belton.

Lions Serve Soldiers.  The Belton Lions Club adopted the Soldiers of the 49th Transportation Battalion from Fort Hood.  Club members interact on a regular basis to provide support and encouragement to those who are protecting freedom. The club also sponsors an annual Prayer Breakfast for Soldiers, which provides an atmosphere for Soldiers to grow spiritually.
