Board Meeting Recap:
– Flag Program – We need more Lions to help replace worn flags. It was suggested that we get new members involved using a mentor/buddy system. It was also discussed that we used to have the routes divided and had members assigned to monitor and take care of their respective routes – no decision was made at this meeting.
– CTACPSA Spring Classic Scholarship Bass Tournament – the Board discussed and voted to approve a $200 sponsorship in the tournament. Update from Billy Conway – the tournament is rescheduled to September due to Lake level.
– Back to School with God, July 20, 10am-Noon –with Temple Belton Ladies Lions providing eye-screening – The Board discussed and approved for the Club to provide, cook and serve 700 hot dogs with chips. Motion passed to approve up to $800 for the Community Outreach event – noting that we will utilize the $378 left over from the 85th Anniversary and will reach out to Sam’s, WalMart & H-E-B to help offset the cost.
