Thanksgiving Baskets for HOCTIL families – TODAY –4 volunteers for deliveries between 1:00-2pm Thank You!
(Note: Our 3rd Thursday Board of Directors meeting is being moved to December 1st)

Grand Avenue Theater Tickets – order now; pay in January – sign-up sheet
Mary Shockley ordered and paid for 5 tickets.
HeartBEAT Angel Tags available … BLC has taken six (6) children from the BISD HeartBEAT Angel program – all have been adopted at the meeting – Thank You!  Gifts are due back at the Thursday, December 1st meeting.
BLC Christmas Party, Dec. 15, Noon – John Corsi and James Harrison
Christmas Baskets for HOCTIL families – Karen Stagner – Sign ups will start December 1st – delivery planned for after Christmas lunch.
Visit and Pictures with Santa, hosted by Belton Lions – 5:30-8pm, December 22nd, Harris Community Center – for HOCTIL Families of Children with Special Needs. Cookies and Cocoa – All are Welcome to attend!

Program:  Lion Keith Cook invited Keith Zuelke, BISD Fine Arts Director – The Fine Arts program(s) at Belton Independent School District are a thriving part of student education. Through the Music, Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts programs, BISD provides a sequential, developmental fine arts curriculum which allows each student an opportunity to build skill and understanding through a wide variety of artistic experiences… amazing program with some amazing students and teachers.  Thank You!

December 1 – Gene Ellis – Kelly Boggs, Gift Officer, UMHB, along with Dr. Kris Ward – Marek-Smith Teacher Training Center / Board Meeting to follow.

December 22 – No Lunch Meeting; HOCTIL Visit and Pictures with Santa in the evening

– Keeping on the Front Burner:
Belton Lion Business Cards – keep handing out those cards – inviting prospective new members.
Lion Corsi suggested that we have a prize drawing @ Charter Night for whoever invites (using the cards) the                                             most prospective new members.
Heritage Park Coordinator – Belton Lions Wall – Picnic in the Park – James Harrison
Future Boat Race Coordinator – Danny Dossman
Stampede Coordinators –Reese Davis and Brett Beamesderfer / Active has raised their rate by .25%

Program:  Lion David Tuma – District 55 State Representative Hugh D. Shine – rather than a Legislative Update; Representative Shine talked about Teams in Community; then focused on World Events and their impact Nationally and Worldwide – Life is a Journey – Not a Destination.  He closed his presentation with a lighthearted story about “parking in New York”.  Thank You!
