Thank you Lion Atmar for today’s program –
Rose Bowl Parade Travel:
The Magic Belles, two directors, eleven chaperones and one BHS administrator made the trip to Pasadena, California. The Magic Belles performed in the Opening Spectacular with Chaka Khan, the 2019 Tournament of Roses Grand Marshal, and in the finale. Learning and practicing choreography for the shows took up most of the Belles time, but they also visited Universal Studios and took a tour of Los Angeles. The Belles worked hard to raise money for the trip which cost about $2,200 for each girl. They sponsored numerous fundraisers, including a sold-out barbeque sale, so that every girl could go on the trip. Director Rachel Hill said, “I’m excited the girls got to experience something of this magnitude all together. It is so incredible that our small town dance team was recognized for their talent and dedication, and that the community pulled together to help make this dream a reality.”
