REMINDERS and ANNOUNCEMENTS:
– Bell County Senior Expo, September 24th, 8am-1pm, Exposition Center hosted by the Belton Journal. Sign up sheet.
– Lions on the Leon – October 5th – Update from Committee Meeting – sign-up sheet – all hands on deck – Danny could use some help with the newest boat(s). Patti and Karen working on Food Trucks. Sponsor/Supporter deadline for full benefits is next Friday, September 13th. Volunteer sign up sheet passed
– 1st Vice President & 2nd Vice President – Todd Schiller has agreed to be 2nd Vice President – nominations now open for 1st Vice President. Please consider serving your Club – if you have questions or an interest, please contact any Board member.
– The Club now has a storage unit at Belton Mini Storage. All supplies that were in Secretary’s personal storage are now in the Belton storage. Please contact Club Secretary for unit number and lock code to take supplies, information and records to storage.
– Belton Bacon, Blues and Brews, Friday/Saturday, September 27 & 28th – confirmed to display Black Pearl and a few Pirates to promote the Boat Race Event. Captain D is recruiting Pirates to help promote our event. Friday 5pm-9pm / Sat. 11am-7pm – sign up sheet next week.
– Next District Meeting, October 12, Athens, Texas – sign-up sheet passed
– October 19th – Fall Festival for Children with Special Needs and their Siblings, Central Texas Christian School, 8a-1p

Program: Thank you, Lion John Corsi – State Farm Agent, for inviting our guest speaker this week, Amanda Maroney, Special Education Teacher for Lake Belton High School and Kitty Corsi, Director of Special Programs for Belton. Though hard work, dedication and the love for what they do-is changing lives for so many Thank y‘all, for what y’all do for our special needs community.
