REMINDERS and ANNOUNCEMENTS:

– Bell County Senior Expo, September 24^th, 8am-1pm, Exposition Center hosted by the Belton Journal.  Thank you to those who signed up..

– Lions on the Leon – October 5^th –Danny could use some help with the newest boat(s). Sponsor/Supporter deadline for full benefits is next Friday, September 13^th.  Cmte Meeting, Monday, 9^th – primary focus was on 5K Fun/Run & Marketing.

– 1^st Vice President & 2^nd Vice President – Todd Schiller has agreed to be 2^nd Vice President – nominations now open for 1^st Vice President. Please consider serving your Club – if you have questions or an interest, please contact any Board member.

– Belton Bacon, Blues and Brews, Friday/Saturday, September 27 & 28^th – confirmed to display Pearl and a few Pirates to promote the Boat Race Event.  Captain D is recruiting Pirates to help promote our event. Friday 5pm-9pm / Sat. 11am-7pm – Thank you to those who signed up.

– Next District Meeting, October 12, Athens, Texas – sign-up sheet passed

– October 19^th – Fall Festival for Children with Special Needs and their Siblings, Central Texas Christian School, 8a-1p – Sign-up sheet after Bacon, Blues and Brews

Keeping on the Front Burner:

– Lions Foundation Annual Report – Belton Lions Club Foundation By-Laws and Constitution. Secretary Stagner has written Texas Secretary of State to see if they have a copy on file from around 1988-1990.
– Stampede Bike Ride 2025 Date – April 26th, 2025 Brett has been working on route and will schedule a committee meeting soon.
– Mark Bellomy presented that Business Network International meets every Tuesday morning at 8:00am, Church of Christ on Hwy 317; they offer no charge membership to non-profits; he suggested that the Club might want to join the Network.
– Belton Lions Wall at Heritage Park – James Harrison coordinating
– Friends of Belton Lions – James Harrison coordinating
– LEO Club Update – Brett – future interested LEOs can help with events, as they further their plans.
– January District Meeting, January 18, Temple, Texas
– December 19 – Pictures with Santa for Children with Special Needs and their Siblings
