One specific topic to be discussed will be “dues structure” options.– Secretary/Treasurer updated members that we are down to about 15 “unpaid” Flag Program participants. We will have a list next week of the “unpaid”(s) that will need to be picked up at sunset on September 11th.– Our local Grand Avenue Theater opened TODAY.– Lion President Harrison introduced a matching funds fundraiser that he is proposing for the Club to benefit Texas Lions Camp.– Plans are progressing for a Heritage Park – Day in the Park – car show and evening movie in the park.– One of the menu options on the 10th will be special for our District Governor: “Grilled Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich” – yum … yum …Program: Program: Our Program on the 3rd: Belton High School Head Coach Brett Sniffin, brought to us by Lion Tail Twister Danny Dossman. Coach Sniffin came to Belton High just before Spring Break – from Iowa – his Dad was a Coach before him. Challenged with the COVID-19 pandemic, Coach Sniffin, Coaches and Teams have been training to fit into a hybrid schedule. The Team motto is: “Break the Rock” or “BTR” – symbolizing “hard work”. Their first home game will be September 25th against Georgetown.
