     – Secretary/Treasurer updated members that we are down to about 15 “unpaid” Flag Program participants.  We will have a list next week of the “unpaid”(s) that will need to be picked up at sunset on September 11th.
     – Our local Grand Avenue Theater opened TODAY.
     – Lion President Harrison introduced a matching funds fundraiser that he is proposing for the Club to benefit Texas Lions Camp.
     – Plans are progressing for a Heritage Park – Day in the Park – car show and evening movie in the park.
     – One of the menu options on the 10th will be special for our District Governor: “Grilled Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich” – yum … yum …
ProgramProgram: Our Program on the 3rd: Belton High School Head Coach Brett Sniffin, brought to us by Lion Tail Twister Danny Dossman.  Coach Sniffin came to Belton High just before Spring Break – from Iowa – his Dad was a Coach before him.  Challenged with the COVID-19 pandemic, Coach Sniffin, Coaches and Teams have been training to fit into a hybrid schedule.  The Team motto is: “Break the Rock” or “BTR” – symbolizing “hard work”.  Their first home game will be September 25th against Georgetown.  We’re crossing our fingers that we see them at the State Championship in January!
