– “Dining & Shopping Spree” coupon books – Proposal lacked a 2nd … Keith Cook will advise the company that we decline.

– BLC Constitution & By Laws: Constitution will remain as currently written. Club Secretary submitted updated contact and Board information to Comptroller.

– Club Excellence Award – LCI has increased the qualifications and financial commitment requirement. After discussion, the Board made the difficult decision not to apply this year.

– International Peace Poster Contest – Board agreed to participate; Keith Cook will take Lead. (handout)

– Lions Field, Smith Street and W. 5th Avenue – BLC is a sponsor of the Baseball Park – looking into addl. Support.

– BBQ Fundraiser to help with medical expenses for Lion JT Grimm is scheduled for March 8th, 5pm, at Creekside Cigar. If you are able, bring a bottle or item for the auction.

– Texas Lions Camp Visit – visiting and touring Texas Lions Camp with PID Sam Lindsey on Friday, June 13th – plus, attending Camp Graduation that evening. We have special rates for overnight stay at the Y.O. Ranch in Kerrville.Sign up Sheet.

– Texas Lions Camp Graduation Dinner, June 13 – possible joint project in MD 2-X3 – will update later.

We’re about $2K short of where we need to be to meet our normal Sponsorship Fundraising Goal.

– Lions on the Leon & Stampede – Planning Committee Meeting update from Feb. 20 meeting – mainly Stampede – addressed notes and issues from the AAR.  Promo for Lions on the Leon starting – addressed notes and issues from the AAR.

– Slate of Officers for the July 1, 2025 thru June 30, 2026 year – 2nd Vice President position was open; called for nominations; Larry Berg nominated; accepted.  Slate presented for vote; unanimous approval.  Thank you for Serving!

Program: Lion President Jennah Gliha and Past President Keith Cook have invited Representatives from BISD SpEd Dept. – to talk with us about the April 17th, Region 12, Area Wide Special Olympics Track & Field Meet at Tiger Stadium. Thank you, Misty Norwood and Lauren Marx for speaking to us this Thursday. Misty and Lauren are representatives of the BISD Special Education Department! They’re having the Special Olympics on Thursday April 17th at Tiger Stadium it’s going to be an amazing event! They’re looking for volunteers. They will be posting a link for Volunteer Sign Up; and for Support Donations.
