REMINDERS and ANNOUNCEMENTS:
– BOARD meeting after lunch today …
– Thanksgiving Baskets for Special Needs Community – need five (5) volunteers to deliver baskets after lunch today.
– Stampede Bike Ride 2025 Date – April 26th, 2025 – in order to post the event details on the Active Endurance site in January; taking into account, the limited meeting dates in November and December – we need to have a committee planning meeting soon. We are only 6 months out and should start soliciting sponsors now. Jennah will get with Brett.
– Project HEARTBEAT BISD Homeless – Tag distribution Nov. 18-20; 20 tags available next week. Gifts are due back December 11th. Thank You!
– Saturday, December 7th – 5:30-7:30pm; Belton Christmas Parade – Parks & Rec wants the Club to put the Pearl Pirate Ship(s) in the parade. After a brief Discussion, the Club made the decision not to participate this year.
– Zone B2 Christmas Party, Thursday, December 12, 6-8pm, Waco’s Lions Den, 1716 N. 42nd St. – $15 per person, Bring a Toy (for Toys for Tots), RSVP by December 6th.
– District MD2X3 Joint Service Project, with McLane’s Children’s Hospital, Saturday, December 14, Ralph Wilson Youth Center, Temple. All Clubs in our District are urged to participate. More info to come from District.
– Pictures with Santa for Children with Special Needs and their Siblings will be Thursday, December 19th – 5:30pm – 8pm, Harris Community Center
– MD2X3 Mid Winter District, Saturday, January 18, Gober Party House, Temple, Hosted by Temple Founders Lions.
Program: Lion PP Keith Cook has invited representatives from the B.I.S.D. HeartBEAT Angel Program.

– Mark Bellomy presented that Business Network International meets every Tuesday morning at 8:00am, Church of Christ on Hwy 317; they offer no charge membership to non-profits; he suggested that the Club might want to join the Network.

– LEO Club Update – Brett – future interested LEOs can help with events, as they further their plans. – Lions Foundation Annual Report – Belton Lions Club Foundation By-Laws and Constitution. Texas Secretary of has provided a copy of the Articles of Incorporation from 1988. By-Laws Committee to update soon.
– Nicknames – Danny Dossman reminded the Club that long ago, members had fun nicknames & suggested that we continue on with them: David Tuma “Typo”; John Corsi “Music Man”; Danny Dossman “Digger”; Larry Berg “Bullet”: and so on …
