    Zone Meeting, August 19th – hosted by Belton Lions – 6pm, The GIN – there will be fabulous PRIZES! (No Noon Meeting)

Back to School with God” event, Saturday, August 7th, 10am-2pm, Pavilion at Yettie Polk Park.
Belton Lions are partnering on this event: assisting Methodist Men cooking hot dogs; and providing vision screening with Temple Breakfast & Temple Belton Ladies Lions Clubs.  Volunteers should arrive 9:00am to check in and help set up.  Belton PD will bring their mobile unit to provide a controlled environment for the Vision Screening. Volunteers signed up: Vision Screening – Lion(s) Fontenot, Stagner, Powell; Cooking/Serving Hot Dogs – Lion(s) Listi, Shaw, Gregg, Hickerson & Paul Strang. All are WELCOME to come out and help.  They have prepared 600 backpacks; and will have vendors; as well as, the BS&W Mobile Van, with services for the community underserved and underinsured.  See you there!
Program:  Thank you Lion Sam Listi for “State of the City” … always a favorite!  2020 Achievements and Projects; Infrastructure; City Library; Heritage Park Redevelopment; so so much more … Future Projects; Pending Projects; Long Term Future Projects; Belton Residential Development; Economic Development and BISD; and Partnerships … so proud of this City and the People who continue to make it GREAT!
Future Program Assignments:
    August 12 – Jim Hudson has invited Scot Arey to give a presentation on “The State of Solar in Texas”.  His knowledge of     solar is second to none and he lives right here in central Texas. He is a retired Army officer who spent much of his time     at Fort Hood. Scot is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for The Texas Solar Energy Society and owns Solar Cen     Tex of Harker Heights.  – PLUS – Board Meeting
    August 19 – Zone Meeting – 6:00pm – at the GIN (no lunch meeting on the 19th)
    August 26 – Lion Lou Griffin
    September 2 – Lion Rob Potts bringing Sam Skidmore, B.I.S.D. Athletics Director
