– Birthday list passed around for Lions’ birthday updates.– Lion President Harrison reminded of his “President’s Challenge” fundraiser to benefit Texas Lions Camp. President Harrison will match up to $500 that the Club raises to send to the Camp. The Challenge will run through November. Tail Twister Dossman passed Lion Shaw’s camo Texas ball-cap for collections – donations totaled $39.00. Club total is currently $239.00 for President Harrison to match.Joke of the Day: In lieu of a Joke, Lion Ellis gave 3 Belton Trivia questions with Belton NNO 2020 winner prizes. A Belton NNO 2020 T-Shirt will be auctioned at the next meeting – be ready to bid BIG! Proceeds will be applied to the “President’s Challenge”.Program: Lion Harrison introduced District 55 Texas State Representative Hugh D. Shine to discuss the activities of his District Office and to highlight pending legislative actions that will drive the 2021 Session. The budget, public education funding, redistricting and legislative-oversight of emergency declarations will be major issues.
