    September 17th Meeting Recap:
    Meeting was called to order by Club President Harrison.
    Attendance: James Harrison, Sam Listi, Gene Ellis, David Leigh, Rob Potts, David Tuma, David Shaw, John Corsi, Mac Hickerson
    Guest: Belton FD Chief Jon Fontenot (Prospective Member); Christa Strang (New Member); Chad Welch (Guest Speaker)

    Announcements
     – Card for Jane Hickerson passed around for signatures.
     – Birthday list passed around for Lions’ birthday updates.
     – Lion President Harrison reported from the Board Meeting.
     – Lion President Harrison presented his “President’s Challenge” fundraiser to benefit Texas Lions Camp. President Harrison will match up to $500 that the Club raises to send to the Camp.  The Challenge will run through November.  Lion Tuma pledged $200 (nice start).
    ProgramLion Harrison introduced Chad Welch, owner of Tri-City Bicycles in Belton.  Chad talked about his passion for cycling and how he raced in Europe and the USA during his younger days.  He has a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine from UMHB.  He is excited about the restart of “Stampede on the Chisholm Trail” in 2021.
     
    New Member Christa Strang was presented to the Club and was given the opportunity to talk about her life and her, and her husband Paul’s, business (Red Box+ – Trash Bin and Porta Potty delivered to job sites)

    October 8 – Lion Hickerson – Lion Mark Prentice – District representative for Leader Dogs for the Blind.

    Also, our 2019-2020 scholarship winner Hannah O’Dell should be with us.
    Board Meeting will follow the regular meeting.
