– Review of Club Membership Types
– Review of LCI Weeks of Service – Service Committee will meet in September.
– Texas Lions Leadership Forum, October 3 & 4 (conflicts with Captain “D” Dash on 10/3), Temple College.
– Bell County Senior Expo, September 22nd, 8am-1pm, Expo Center – the event has been redesigned this year – we will need to provide 3-4 volunteers to help with bags and more
– McLane Children’s Hospital holiday celebration, December 12th, Ralph Wilson Youth Center – hosted by the MD2-X3 Lions. Lion Tracie Bunker will take the Lead and coordinate with District for Belton Lion participation. The holiday celebration is a daytime event.
Regular Business
– Captain “D” Dash for “Sight”, October 3rd, Fliers available in pkgs. of 25 to distribute. Please share Facebook posts from Lions on the Leon and Belton Lions Club Facebook pages. Next Planning Meeting, Monday, August 31st, 6pm, Lion Danny Dossman’s home. We currently have several Sponsors for Captain “D” Dash for SIGHT! ABC Home and Commercial Services, John Corsi State Farm Insurance, Cabinets Deluxe, TX Crafty Girlz, and the Salazar Family. Please coordinate with Lion Pam Blair and reach out to prospective sponsors.
Program: – Lion Nichole Jack Johnson invited Isamary Banks Nieves to tell us about New Life Village. New Life Village is designed to provide youth again and aged out of foster care with safe, clean, and practical independent living structures in a small community setting – providing resources and aiming to inspire them to change the world for others. Thank You!
