Update from Planning Meeting, Monday, August 31st. We currently have several Sponsors for Captain “D” Dash for SIGHT! ABC Home and Commercial Services, John Corsi State Farm Insurance, RVOS Insurance, Cabinets Deluxe, TX Crafty Girlz, Roddis Lumber and Plywood, Smoke Eater Guitars and the Salazar Family. Please coordinate with Lion Pam Blair and reach out to prospective sponsors.
– Bell County Senior Expo, Sept. 22, 8am-1pm, Volunteer Sign-up sheet passed. Team Leader: Lion Karen
– Belton Bacon, Blues and Brews, Friday (9/25) & Saturday (9/26) – update from Team Leader George & Tracie.
– Texas Lions Leadership Forum, Oct. 3 & 4 (same Saturday as Captain “D” Dash), Lion(s) Karen, Debra Sue & Pam have signed up to go after the 5K.
– District 2-X3 Cabinet Meeting #2, Saturday, October 24th, Navarro College, Bain Center, Corsicana, Texas – sign-up sheet passed.
Program: – Lion President Larry Berg-Belton Police Chief provided the Club with an in-depth overview of the Department Staff, CHIPS, Volunteers, Statistics, Mental Health and Community Crimes, Prevention Focused Community Policing and Budget. He covered Procedural Justice: Fairness, Impartiality, Transparency and Voice. Chief Berg highlighted the Department Accreditation, their RUOK program, BWC, Able Program, Use and Benefits of Drones and Flock Cameras. We are so proud of our Belton Police Department! Thank You for your Leadership!
