Lion James brought his own birthday cake “Happy Birthday to ME” to share with everyone having a birthday this year. He donated the birthday pin money to the Club ($17).
We all wishes Happy Retirement to Lion Jon from the Belton FD and to Lion Keith from BISD.

– Texas Lions Camp – Family Camp –Session 9. Pictures are posted on our Facebook page. Recap by Lion(s) Cook, Blair and Marek … It was an incredible trip to the Camp – what an impact!
– Captain “D” Dash for “Sight”, October 3rd, 2 months out – Committee: Lion(s) Danny Dossman, Karen Stagner, Pam Blair, Larry Berg, Mike Matthews, Billy Conway, Joe Dyer & Kevin Hisel. Planning Meeting … Lion Danny’s home, 6pm, Monday (8/3)
– Upcoming SHP Build a Bed, Saturday, August 8th, 8-10am, Killeen – Secretary will send an email with sign-up link. Thirty (30) of the beds built a couple of weeks ago have been delivered to Kerrville flood victims.
– Eyeglass Collection – we need a Team Leader to handle our eyeglass collection process. See Lion Karen and/or Lion Jon. Lion Pam Blair volunteered – Thank You!
Program: – Lion Clinton Bailey has invited Whitney Ingram, General Manager for Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District. Very interesting and informative program! “Good Science creates Good Policy! Interactive Maps can be viewed on the Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District website. The annual Groundwater Symposium is scheduled for November 12th (Thursday) at the Expo Center.

– Captain “D” Dash for “Sight”, October 3rd, Route totally within Heritage Park established; we have contracted and paid deposit to have a timed run to attract more runners – we’re looking for underwriters for the Timing ($1.400), for Award Medals ($600), and for T-Shirts ($750). Preliminary and variable P&L approved. Lion Pam Blair will coordinate sponsorships. Lions Karen Stagner and Danny Dossman will Team Lead; Committee: Pam Blair, Billy Conway, Club President(s) and Treasurer. Registration is open
– USA/Canada Leadership Forum, September 3-5, Memphis, Tennessee
– 2027 Texas State Lions Convention, May 20-22, 2027, Beaumont, Texas
– LCICON (International) 2030 will be in San Antonio, Texas; hosted by Texas Lions
