– BOARD Meeting postponed to September 24th.
– Captain “D” Dash for “Sight”, October 3rd, TODAY is Sponsor Deadline to be included on the t-shirt. Registration Price increases tomorrow. Swag Bag Stuffing & Logistics Meeting this Sunday, 2-5pm at Harris Community Center. Volunteer Sign-up Sheet Attached – let Lion Karen know where you can help.
– Bell County Senior Expo, this coming Tuesday, Sept. 22, 8am-1pm, Team Leader: Lion Karen – general labor to help with greeting, bags, and whatever they need – maybe helping Temple Breakfast Lions with eye screening. So far, we have: Lion(s) John Corsi, Cyndi Miller, Karen Stagner, Debra Sue Oden & Pam Blair. If you want to help, let Lion Karen know. Please arrive no later than 7:45am.
– Belton Bacon, Blues and Brews, Friday (9/25-5:30-10pm) & Saturday (9/26-11am-10pm) – Plans have CHANGED – not painting cut-outs this year. We will have a booth to promote Belton Lions Club Membership and to promote the Captain “D” Dash for Sight. Maybe we can have some fun dressing as Pirates; and maybe a little corn-hole for a prize (possibly a free registration to the 5K)? Volunteer Sign-up Sheet attached – please let Lion Karen know if you can help. Team Leaders: Tracie & George Bunker.
– Texas Lions Leadership Forum, Oct. 3 & 4 (same Saturday as Captain “D” Dash), Lion(s) Karen, Debra Sue & Pam have signed up to go after the 5K.
Program: – Lion Jeramie Bailey invited Alicia Jallah, Executive Director of Helping Hands Ministries to provide an insight to the growing food insecurities in Bell County. Serving 750-800 families per week. They provide relief groceries, neighborhood deliveries, pop-ups, and Holiday Pantries with the help of Community Partners and Food Banks. They also offer Financial Crisis Help, Classes in Financial Literacy & First Aid; plus Business Center with Computer assistance. Clothing and Household goods are available to families via a voucher system with Laura Mae’s Resale Shop. They are dedicated to cultivating an environment of dignity that empowers neighbors to grow toward wholeness. Thank You!

– MD2 Zone Meeting Proposal – Lion Clinton Bailey will attend the Killeen Zone meeting on October 5th. They are looking for Belton to host a Zone meeting during the 1st week in November.
– McLane’s Children’s Holiday Celebration, hosted by MD2-X3 Clubs, December 12th, Ralph Wilson Youth Club – Team Leaders: Lion(s) Tracie Bunker and Jennifer Ramirez. We’re doing sugar cookie decorating.
– Pictures with Santa / Friends for Life, Thursday, December 17th, 5-8pm, Harris Center
– 2027 Texas State Lions Convention, May 20-22, 2027, Beaumont, Texas
– LCICON (International) 2030 will be in San Antonio, Texas; hosted by Texas Lions
