– Lion Mac Hickerson & Debbie say Hello … and hope to be back soon.
– President Jon Fontenot wrenched his back … we wish him a speedy recovery.
– Thank you from Secretary Stagner to Lion Jennah Gliha and Lion Jennifer Ramirez for standing in during the Secretary’s recent absences.
Board Meeting Recap: Board met Thursday, March 19th
1) A Teenage Bike Club will be riding with us on STAMPEDE as a benefit fundraiser. Their ride will be totally independent from our ride accounting. No money will pass though Belton Lions Club. However, we will issue them bib numbers – these bib numbers will not be eligible for the Bib Raffle.
2) The Board is reviewing our investment accounts – more information to follow.
3) For the Texas Lions camp Visit, July 24th, the Board approved a minimum of $500 to cover hotel costs for members participating.
4) Pam Blair and Kevin Hisel are attending the District Convention in Palestine, April 10th & 11th as Delegates for the Club.
5) The Board decided to discontinue “Open Meetings” on Board Meeting days – Program Chair Leigh will assign members to bring Programs.
Regular Business
– Easter Meal for Five (5) Friends for Life Families, Thank you, sheet is full – delivery April 2nd.
– Central Texas BBQ Round-up, this Friday, March 20 & Saturday, March 21, Expo Center. Recap – Great Event for Central Texas and Kuddos to George Bunker and his team.
– STAMPEDE on the Chisholm Trail, May 9th – We still need Sponsors, Swag Bag donations (150 bags) and Bib Raffle items (20).

– Environmental Week of Service, April 18-26 – Joint Project Opportunity – Secretary will email other Clubs in Temple/Belton about a creekside clean-up.
– 2026-2027 Club Officers – nominations are now open for:

Term starts July 1st, 2026 / Voting is scheduled for June 18th at the open meeting / Installation of Officers should be on June 25th.
– Texas Lions Camp – we have a family going to Family Camp – Session 9, July 22-24, 2026. Salazar Family of Four (4). Thank you Lion Keith Cook for coordinating this.
Program: Lion Mary Shockley has invited Randy Dixon, Randy Dixon, Central Counties Services (MHMR) Heal Program & Loss Team. Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors; with Samantha, Team Member and survivor affected by family suicide. The HEAL initiative aims to reduce suicide rates and improve post-vention support for youth and families affected by suicide. The LOSS team provides immediate post-vention services, resources, and care coordination to individuals, families and communities affected by suicide. Community Training / Prevention Services / Post-vention Services. Thank You!
