After lengthy discussion about the Wacky Boat Race, it was agreed that 2025 ended the annual boat race event.
The members also discussed whether or not the Picnic in the Park elements might be tagged onto the 5K race.

Lion Stagner advised the Club that the 5K on October 3rd 2026 would NOT be part of the CenTex Race Series – the other race directors pushed back on adding races which might decrease each of their runner participations.  The only available months to join the CenTex Series would be in February or August.  February 2026 would be too soon to effectively plan a race.  A committee will be formed to look at dates and routes, as well as, the feasibility of having a 2026 race. Soccer traffic was a major safety factor for our runners. Also, several runners commented that the Summit hill was too steep.

– Lion George Bunker offered a fundraising opportunity to the Club with his Central Texas Barbecue Round-up, scheduled for March 21, 2026.   He will work something up in writing to present to the Board for discussion and consideration.
