Board Meeting Recap

– Americas Best eye exams and glasses increased their price by $5.00.
– The February Fundraiser Cruise has been cancelled due to lack of reservations.
– Starting in January, Club members are urged to wear their name badge, since we have so many new members. The Tail Twister will be issuing fines.  Please let the Secretary know if you do not have a nametag. 

Regular Business 
– This Saturday, December 6th – McLane’s Children’s Hospital Holiday Party, 11am-2pm, Saturday, Set up has changed to 9:30am. Hematology and Oncology patients – Our Club will set up Carnival Games and Prizes.  Event will be held at Temple High CTE building, 711 N. 31st Street (Door 23). Pam & Jason Blair, Patti Powell, Jennifer Ramirez, Karen Stagner, George & Tracie Bunker.
– This Saturday, December 6th, Belton Christmas on the Chisholm Trail Parade, evening, Saturday – (same day as McLane’s) Lion George Bunker’s family will walk with banner; and he will have our mascot LINUS in the parade.  Lion George is Team Leader.  If anyone else wants to walk in the Parade, please contact Club Secretary or Lion George.
– December 11th is Christmas Basket delivery after lunch – sign up sheet (attached) Christmas Basket Team is: Larry Berg (Team Leader), Jennah Gliha, David Leigh, Karen Stagner, Keith Cook, Todd Schiller, Mary Shockley
– BISD Project Heartbeat Angel Tags – BLC has adopted 20 tags – All Tags have been adopted (attached)– purchasing one full outfit of clothing and one toy – due back December 11th.  Wrap or Bag & attach Angel Tag. Thank you! Project Heartbeat Team is: Jennah Gliha, David Tuma, Luke Potts, Keith Cook (Team Leader), Todd Schiller
– December 18th is Club Christmas Party – then, set-up after lunch for Christmas with Santa for Friends for Life families at the Harris Center. Sign up sheet for Christmas with Santa. (attached)

Program:  Sam Listi invited Amanda Hairston, Belton Library – She provided an entertaining, energetic, and welcoming overview of Lena Armstrong Library programs and visions for Kids, Teens and Adults. (attachments)

– April 11th, District Convention, hosted by the Palestine Lions Club
– Lions Field @Smith and West 5th could use some updates. Jon Fontenot will get Parks & Rec to explore options – tabled until we have more information.
– Membership Milestone Awards – Will we be presenting these at Christmas?  The Board agreed that Milestones will be in five (5) year increments; starting at 10 year membership. – John Corsi and Jennah Gliha.  Secretary has provided a Report of each member’s length of membership. – No discussion at this meeting
– Update on Cadence Bank – CD and other – on hold
– Belton Lions Wall at Heritage Park – James Harrison coordinating
