– Congratulations to member Dwayne Williams on his new location Ribbon Cutting today!
– December BOARD meeting will be 1 week early, Thurs., Dec. 12 – immediately after Christmas lunch (1 new eyeglass invoice)
– Christmas Baskets for Special Needs Community – Sign-up sheet passed – short notice – sorry – delivery next Thursday after the Christmas Lunch.
– Project Angel’s HEARTBEAT BISD Homeless – 20 tags available adopted. Gifts due back next week, December 12th. Thank You!
– Belton Lions Christmas Lunch – December 12th, Noon, Dead Fish Grill – it was decided not to have a white elephant gift exchange. Please be prepared ($$ – if you can) to help with our annual tip for our waitress Tabitha.
– FYI – Zone B2 Christmas Party, Thursday, December 12, 6-8pm, Waco’s Lions Den, 1716 N. 42nd St. – $15 per person, Bring a Toy (for Toys for Tots), RSVP by December 6th.
– POSTPONED: District MD2X3 Joint Service Project, with McLane’s Children’s Hospital, Saturday, December 14, Ralph Wilson Youth Center, Temple.
– Pictures with Santa for Children with Special Needs and their Siblings will be Thursday, December 19th – 5:00pm – 8pm, Harris Community Center. Sign-up sheet to provide cookies; and/or to work the event passed. Info on BLC facebook
– MD2X3 Mid Winter District, Saturday, January 18, Gober Party House, Temple, Hosted by Temple Founders Lions.
– Stampede Bike Ride 2025 Date – April 26th, 2025 – in order to post the event details on the Active Endurance site in January; taking into account, the limited meeting dates in December – we need to have a committee planning meeting soon. There are now two conflicting rides on April 26th- we may look at alternate dates. We are only 6 months out and should start soliciting sponsors now.
Program: Thank you, Past President Lion Keith Cook, for invited our guest speaker this Thursday Keith Zuehlke, BISD Director of Fine Arts, spoke about all talented kids Belton ISD has, the new renovations and exciting things happening in the Fine Arts Department of BISD
