REMINDERS and ANNOUNCEMENTS
:

– $3,000 Grant from the Texas Lions Foundation, to help with immediate Community food, clothing and shelter needs.  The Club will purchase $100 gift cards to distribute to disaster victims for immediate food, clothing and shelter needs.

– Stampede – Recap – $5,800 in Sponsorships – 103 Riders – Great Job! Thank you to everyone! The Random Raffle Prizes for the Riders were a hit.  Also new this year, the Early Packet Pick-up saw 20 riders – several out-of-towners staying in Belton overnight.  Schedule After-Action Meeting – July 18th Lunch Program.

– Belton 4th of July Parade – Danny – taking boats out of storage on June 30th, 3pm (James, Jon, David, Keith, Mike, Karen). Mandatory Parade Meeting: Saturday, June 22nd – Karen going, 10am, Pittinger Fine Arts Center. Promo Video Clip Session – Saturday, June 15th, 9am, Heritage Park.

– Back to School with God – Jennifer Bailey is leaving BISD – Team Leaders will be Jenna, Bree and Christa.  Cooking and Serving 700 hot dogs, chips, etc…; along with the Temple Belton Ladies Lions doing eye screenings.  Partnering with Zion and Immanuel Church.

– Texas Lions Camp Visit – The Club will plan to visit the Camp on Friday, August 2nd and Saturday, August 3rd.  On Friday, Camp will have a graduation and awards ceremony from 2:30-4pm; on Saturday, the Texas Lions Museum will be dedicated. More on hotel options and transportation to be advised – maybe rent a bus. Show of hands for interest …

– Fundraiser Cruise Check Presentation – Doniece Gray, Your Travel Agent presented the Club with a check for Seven Hundred and Eighty-Four dollars from the Club’s Fundraiser Cruise earlier in the year.  James Harrison organizes a fundraiser cruise every other year for the Club.  Thank You!

Keeping on the Front Burner:
– Mark Bellomy presented that Business Network International meets every Tuesday morning at 8:00am, Church of Christ on Hwy 317; they offer no charge membership to non-profits; he suggested that the Club might want to join the Network.  We will present this to the membership to see if anyone wants to be our BLC representative to join.
– Plate Spinning Winner Presentation
– Belton Lions Wall at Heritage Park – James Harrison coordinating
– Friends of Belton Lions – James Harrison coordinating
– LEO Club Update – Brett – future interested LEOs can help with events, as they further their plans.
– David Shaw – Deployment bags are requested for our Adopted Unit – tabled until Lion Shaw is able to provide details.
