Lions on the Leon Picnic in the Park & Wacky Boat Race – update from Danny Dossman – layout map distributed; everything is on course. Please like and share the infomercials and PSAs. Instruction emails/texts will go out on Sunday.
Bacon, Blues & Brews Friday Volunteer Opportunity – 1:15p to 4p – working the barricades as they shut down downtown around the courthouse. Danny Dossman and Karen Stagner will be working the barricades.
Bacon, Blues & Brews Plate Spinning Contest, Saturday, September 30th, Downtown Belton – selling People’s Choice Tickets – Food Truck Competition from 11am-1pm. Jon Fontenot will work the Plate Spinning table – keeping names and timings. Winner will receive autographed plate and lunch with the Belton Lions. Signed up so far: Cri Childs, Jon Fontenot, Mike Matthews, Danny Dossman, Karen Stagner, Mac Hickerson, Jennah Gliha, David Tuma, Reese Davis, Keith Cook, Wayne Carpenter, Mack Latimer, Stacie Price.
BISD Mentor Program for Project HEARTBEAT. Please consider being a mentor for a BISD student in a homeless situation. See Lion President Keith Cook if you are interested.
Program: Danny Dossman invited a representative from Corp of Engineers. Cassie Hill provided details, history and current information for Lake Belton, Stillhouse and other area Lakes … lots of Q&A … very good program!
