New Business:
– Stampede Financial Update – Total Income: $9,568.54 / Total Expenditures: $1,372.86 / Profit: $8,195.68
– Credit Cards – Jon Fontenot reporting that the bank charges roughly $40/month; plus rental on the machine.
There was also discussion on which account to use; or both … also possibly using the less expensive square on cell phones. Further investigation will be done and presented when available.
– Picnic in the Park Expenses – James Harrison reported that they are looking into entertainment. He and the Committee are going to try to get one Sponsor for the overall event; a Sponsor for the Entertainment; a Sponsor for the Boat Race. Big name entertainment to draw large crowds may cost $2,000 or more. The bands will need to be Family Friendly. The City is in discussion about allowing adult beverages in the future on Park grounds, but this will not happen prior to the Picnic. Suggestion was made to arrange to have a portable ATM machine at the event for Fish Fry and other ticket sales.
– Wacky Boat Race Expenses – Danny Dossman reported that expenses should be minimal; and that the Committee will be reaching out for underwriting sponsorships for t-shirts and Pirate Booty/Swag bags.
