Stampede Recap – Shout out of appreciation to everyone for contributing to the huge success of the event.
There were 102 Riders on a chilly start morning and a windy day! Eldred’s Nursery students and the BISD Special Needs group were a fun and exciting addition to this year’s event. Teamwork makes Dreamwork – it’s always a great day to be a Belton Lion! Additional recap information to be presented soon.
USA Flag Program – Invoices will be emailed Friday – asking for payment by May 24th; then pick up unpaid before Memorial Day. We have only 37 flags unpaid.
Picnic in the Park, October 7th – James Harrison – pending update on his return
Lions on the Leon Wacky Boat Race, October 7th – Danny Dossman – pending update after next planning meeting.
Marek-Smith Training Center Donor Wall – all member pledges have been paid – we will contact Rebecca O’Banion, UMHB, to come to lunch; pick up the check & make the arrangements to have “Belton Lions Club Foundation” listed on the Donor Wall of the building at UMHB. We will try to schedule this May 11th or 25th.
Haley Cox and Dr. William B. Long Memorial Scholarships – Todd Schiller distributing the scholarship applications. Return date requested for early May.
Program: – Lion Jon Fontenot presented on Equilibria E-Colors – a quadrant personality theory that heightens self-awareness and improves social and emotional intelligence, collaboration and communication. 85th Anniversary of the Belton Lions Club – James Harrison is planning a Celebration. James explained that Belton Lions Club first met in 1938; then Chartered in 1939.
