Announcements 

Danny Dossman Announcement … on behalf of Danny, it was announced that he will have an announcement next week – because he is in Padre Island for the SpaceX launch.

Board Meeting TODAY – after lunch 

Stampede – Brett Beamesderfer – Reese Davis – 56 riders registered online; plus 8 sponsor riders registered; plus 3 mailed in riders. Next meeting, Thursday, April 27, Noon at Deadfish Grill – the Program will be STAMPEDE logistics. 

Marek-Smith Training Center Donor Wall – We will make the arrangements to have “Belton Lions Club Foundation” listed on the Donor Wall of the building at UMHB. We will try to schedule this during May. 

Haley Cox and Dr. William B. Long Memorial Scholarships – Todd Schiller distributing the scholarship applications. Return date requested for early May. 

Program: – Rob Potts invited Rucker Preston, Promise House. www.familypromisebellcounty.org/promise-house – Mission:  Empowering families experiencing homelessness to achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. He explained their Guest Shelter Program and Diversion Initiative, and shared testimonial success stories.  Promise House officially opened in January after two years of vision and planning.  Great Service to families; and Great Program!

Belton Lions Wall at Heritage Park – James Harrison coordinating
Officer Nominations for 2023-2024 for year beginning July 1st
85th Anniversary of the Belton Lions Club – James Harrison is planning a Celebration. James explained that Belton Lions Club first met in 1938; then Chartered in 1939.
2024 Fundraiser Cruise
 – Carnival Jubilee – January 13-20, 2024
