– Belton Lion Business Cards – keep handing out those cards – inviting prospective new members.

– The Club will return to having a separate Secretary and a separate Treasurer for the 2022-2023 year.  Lion Stagner will remain as Secretary.  Please consider volunteering to serve as Treasurer.  Our new year begins on July 1st. –

Program:  – Stampede, April 30th: After Action Meeting:

Everyone was applauded for their contribution to the EVENT.  Special accolades were given to David Shaw for the untold works that he has done each year in the background – WOW … just WOW!

Some of the notes for STAMPEDE improvement:

– Patti Powell volunteered to create a Stampede on the Chisholm Trail facebook page.
– KOM Beau Wiist volunteered to coordinate and communicate with Wheel Brothers and other bike ride clearing houses.
– John Corsi is creating a “play book” for the event; with a timeline starting in January.
– The Club (John Corsi) has created a committee for the Event – dividing responsibilities – they will start meeting soon to plan for next year – March 29th.
– KOM Beau Wiist, Brett Beamesderfer and Reese Davis anticipate that we could have 400 riders next year – we will need additional help with registration.
– Starting in 2023, we will have a Friday evening Packet Pick-up.
– We need to send out in-kind donation request letters to Shipley’s, Church’s, Starbucks, H-E-B, Wal-Mart and Sam’s in February.
– Contact Belton Area Chamber for Welcome Bags in early February – include Belton Lions business’ promotional items and/or coupons.  Solicit other coupons to include.
– Jon Fontenot has created and will propose an alternate route to eliminate the Hwy 95 portion.
– Jon Fontenot has designed a photo op backdrop and will get pricing.
– Plan to supply tent canopy for Rest Stop 3 and 4.
– Mike Matthews advised us that each of the route detailed layouts can be mapped and a QR code applied for riders to download.  KOM Beau Wiist offered to help with this.
– We will need more Gatorade, bananas, power bars, etc. – plus maybe some oranges.
– The Club will invest in new directional arrow signs.
– James Harrison suggested that the Club explore accepting credit cards, venmo, paypal, etc.
